Good Morning Phyllis...

HAVANESE RESCUE INC. did it again! Through the generosity of donations such as yours, the darling quilted jacket and

embroidered napkins, we raised $10,877.00 the evening of the Havanese Rescue Inc. Reception held during the HCA Nationals

on July 21st! Your jacket was one of our very popular items and the raffle box was full of tickets! The napkins were included

(with your name as donor) in a basket of wine and cheese and crackers.....a lovely touch to add.

We estimated 250 guests enjoyed our totally underwritten dinner and evening, thus 100% of all proceeds from this fundraiser

went to our rescue "kids". This is one of our major fundraisers held every year.

Your support, is appreciated more than you know. We are facing some very expensive tests and surgeries this month.

The money raised from this year's Reception will go a long way to help cover some of these expenses. We continue to average

about $775.00 for a single dog to go through our rescue process, until they are placed in their forever, loving homes. Last year,

2010, we had 162 Havanese dogs surrendered to us with expenses totaling $112,000.00. This year, to date, we already have 91

dogs that have come into HRI. Many can be viewed on our website www.havaneserescue.com.
